One of the things I enjoyed as a child was fresh fruits and vegetables from our family garden. When I was raising my own children we always had an abundant vegetable garden.
The Norally family decided to plant some vegetables gardens at The Rose on Norally Acres. Please enjoy our fruits and vegetables. Please pick only what is ready and you will be using during your stay. Do not pick to take home. We want all our guest to enjoy fresh veggies and fruit. Remember to wash all fruit and vegetables before eating them.
This year’s gardens have spaghetti squash, two kinds of watermelon, cantaloupe, pole beans, sweet peas, yellow and red bell peppers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and suekinee squch
We also have a pumpkin patch and a fall decorative gourd patch.
The herb garden is by the back patio by the gas grill and has Sage, Italian Parsley, German Chamomile, Cilantro, and Sweet Basil.
The Rose on Norally Acres has an abundance of black berries growing throughout the 30 acres. It looks like it will be a great year to pick as we have had perfect conditions for them. They should be ready by the 1st of July.
The Peach tree is doing will and the peaches are about the size of a half dollar at this time.
The Apple trees are not doing as will however there are plenty apples appearing on them and they should be ready by late August.
The cherry trees which are usually full of wonderful cherries was hit by a late frost and we will not have cherries this late June.
As always we welcome any helpful input so please offer suggestions for our gardens.
